From a young age he demonstrated excellent aptitudes for music. He studied music at the Escola Municipal de Música de Barcelona, where he received the Maria Barrientos Prize. He studied violin with Manuel Viscasillas and harmony and composition with Enric Morera, from whom he received a marked influence. In 1916 he received a scholarship to continue his studies at the Conservatory of Brussels, which he could not take advantage of due to the development of the First World War. At the end of 1920 he was co-founder and first director of the Orfeó Badaloní. Although he died very young, he left testimony of his status as a prolific composer, with several concertos for piano, for violin, sonatas, trios, songs. His symphonic works include the symphonic poem "Venus and Adonis". He died of an irreversible mental illness in Barcelona, ??at the time of the occupation of the city by Francoist troops, away from his family who had to remain hidden.
